WATERTOWN, Conn. -- It took six events and four finishes in the top three, but Tuesday was finally senior
Joe Ensign's day in the spotlight as he took home the Post Eagles Invitational Individual Title after shooting a two-over-par across the three rounds and edging out Alexander Lundvall of Dominican (N.Y.) in the process. As a team, Post University Men's Golf finished in sixth place at 73-over-par in the invite, moving up two spots from a day ago when they were in eighth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Emerging as the invitational's winner was St. Thomas Aquinas College who finished 38-over-par and three strokes ahead of the Chargers at 41-over-par followed by Assumption University in third place at 53-over-par to round out the top three teams. Besides Ensign and Lundvall, Bruno Pardo also of Dominican (N.Y.) finished out the top three individuals at four-over-par while all three of them shot three-over-par in round three.
Senior
Amal Jha closed out his final collegiate competition with his best round of the invitational, shooting one-over-par which shot him up the leaderboard into a tie for 28th overall at 22-over-par for the event. Jha was just one stroke ahead of sophomore
Flo Schimek in 31st place at 23-over-par after Schimek had his best round as well with a three-over-par finish.
Freshman
Brandon Frye and junior
Miles Maresch finished back-to-back in the standings with 32-over-par and 33-over-par finishes respectively in 48th place and 50th place. Frye went for 19-over-par in round three while Maresch had his best round at two-over-par, recovering from a 22-over-par second round yesterday.
Rounding out the field for Post in their final fall match were sophomore
Braden Shea and junior
Nathan Leonard who tied for 52nd place at 34-over-par while both having their best rounds of the event at seven-over-par and four-over-par respectively
