Post University's Martina Stanchi was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Female Track and Rookie of the Year as announced by the conference on Thursday.

Stanchi had a breakout year in both the 100 and 200 meters, winning the CACC title in both.

During the 100m CACC race, she finished with a personal best 12.14. In the 200m, she won with a time of 25.19. The 200m time was the third fastest in CACC history.

It was the second time this season Stanchi won the 200m race. She also won the event at the Mount Saint Mary's College Track Invitational with a time of 26.69 on March 26.

This season, Stanchi also finished in second two times in the 100m with a time of 12.54 in the Black and Gold Invitational in April and a time of 12.94 in the Mount Saint Mary's College Track Invitational in March.

This is the first time a Post University student-athlete has won the CACC Female Track Athlete of the Year award and second time a Post student-athlete won Female Track Athlete of the Year. Kendall Fitzgerald earned the honor in 2018.
