Waterbury, CT – Post University women's basketball player Roxkel Washington was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week after the Eagles went 2-0 last week with wins over Queens College and Saint Thomas Aquinas College (STAC).

Against Queens in a 61-60 win on Nov. 17, Washington notched her first double-double of her career with 14 points and 14 rebounds along with five blocks and four steals. Her rebounds matched a career-high, while her points, blocks and steals all set a new career-high.

In a 54-49 win over STAC on Nov. 19, Washington grabbed three more rebounds to go with two blocks and a steal.

It is the first time in her career Washington was named CACC Defensive Player of the Week.
