Box Score Caldwell, N.J.– The Post University men's soccer team scored early for the second consecutive game, and earned its second straight shutout in a 2-0 win over Caldwell in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles are now 10-3-2 overall and 7-1-2 in the CACC. And are tied for first place with Bridgeport in the conference.
It was once again
Aritz Uriate Alonso getting the scoring going early for Post as
Finn Lanser dribbled to the left and passed it into the 18-yard box and Alonso put home his third goal of the season in the fifth minute. In the win over Chestnut Hill on October 15, Alonso scored in the sixth minute in the 1-0 win.
Post went into the half with the lead and got on the board again in the 67
th minute as
Pablo Tenorio scored his second goal of the season off a free kick from
Francisco Sousa to make it a 2-0 game. It was Tenorio's second goal of the season.
Soren Jensen had four saves on the day, earning his fifth win of the season and fifth shutout of the season.
Both teams had 12 shots on the day, with Alonso leading the way with three.
Post is now 17-5-3 overall against Caldwell and have won five straight over Caldwell.
