Box Score Middlebury, CT - The Post University women's tennis team lost a 4-3 match to Goldey-Beacom in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match on Friday afternoon.
The loss moves the Eagles to 6-4 overall and 4-4 in the CACC. The Lightning are now 2-6 overall and in the CACC.
The Eagles won one of the three doubles matches as
Megan Lambardt and
Natalia Gonzalez Ramos def. Macy Hendin-Walker and Jessie Sanzo, 6-4 in doubles no. 3.
Annunciata De-Souza and
Micaela Rosignuolo lost a thriller in doubles no. 1, 7-6 (17-15).
De-Souza was able to take down Liza Mova in singles no. 1, 6-3, 6-2, while Rosignuolo won in singles no. 3 over Maria Bruno, 6-4, 6-3.Â
Nina Langenfeld won a three-set match over Hendin-Walker, 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Julia D'Occhio lost a close three-set match, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 to Jessie Sanzo in singles no. 6.
Up next, the Eagles will play its final home game of the year in a 1 p.m. match vs. Jefferson on October 15th.
