Berlin, Md. – The Post University men's golf team finished in eighth place at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spring Invitational over the weekend with a 47-over par 623 (311-312) at Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links.
Senior Brendan McCormack (Watertown, Conn.) and junior Antonio Lopez-Woodworth (Mexico City, Mexico) were the top performers for the Eagles, both tying for 31st with an 11-over par 155. McCormack shot a 76 in the first round and 79 in the final round. Lopez-Woodworth shot a 75 and an 80, respectively. Junior Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) finished a stroke behind with a 12-over par 156 (82-74), tying for 35th.
Senior Kyle Hughes (Pulaski, N.Y.) finished tied for 40th with a 14-over par 158 (78-80) and sophomore Anthony Guerrera (Watertown, Conn.) had a 17-over par 161 (82-79).
Concordia and Dominican took home the team title with a 21-over par 597. Cal Meyers of Bentley was the individual medalist with a 5-under par 139 (71-68).
Up next for the Eagles is the Mike Bello Invitational on April 12-13 at Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse, N.Y.
