Syracuse, N.Y. – Junior Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) finished tied for eighth to help lead the Post University men's golf team to a sixth place finish at the Mike Bello Spring Invitational with a 57-over par 625 (314-311) at Bellevue Country Club.
Erickson finished with a 9-over par 151 (75-76) as the top finisher for the Eagles.
Roberts Wesleyan won the tournament with a 30-over par 598 (296-302), beating out Dominican who placed second with a 42-over par 610, a stroke ahead of Southern New Hampshire.
Junior Antonio Lopez-Woodworth (Mexico City, Mexico) also had a top-20 finish, tying for 18th with a 14-over par 156 (79-77). Sophomore Anthony Guerrera (Watertown, Conn.) posted a 17-over par 159 (81-78), senior Brendan McCormack (Watertown, Conn.) finished a shot behind Guerrera (79-81) and senior Kyle Hughes (Pulaski, N.Y.) shot a 19-over par 161 (81-80) to round out the Eagles.
Matt Paradis of Southern New Hampshire was the medalist, shooting a 1-over par 143 (70-73). Robert Libiszewski of American International College shot a 5-over par 147 (74-73) to finish second.
Up next for the Eagles is their final tournament of the season, the Penmen Spring Invitational in Manchester, N.H. on April 21-22.
