A three-run shot by the Bears trimmed the Eagles' lead to 4-3 in the bottom of the second, but the Eagles would put the game out of reach with three runs in the third. Giordano led the inning off with a solo shot. Two batters later, freshman Avery Kelly (New Milford, Conn.) smacked a homer to left center to make the score 6-3. Freshman Cassidy Petrie (Staten Island, N.Y.) drew a bases-loaded walk to add another run.

Freshman Megan McCormack (Franklin Square, N.Y.) hit an RBI single in the fourth to bring home senior Sara Selimovski (Watertown, Conn.) and made the score 8-3. Bloomfield pulled within three with a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth.

Schaffer crushed a two-run bomb in the fifth and drove in three with a single in the sixth. She was 4-for-5 with two homers, three runs scored, and eight RBI in game two. Freshman Bridget Betley (Fairfield. N.J.) pitched four innings striking out three for the win.
