Wilson, N.C. – Sophomore Anthony Guerrera (Watertown, Conn.) shot a 4-over par 76 as the Post University men's golf team sits in fourth place at the Barton College Intercollegiate after the first round at Wilson Country Club.
The Eagles just sit ten strokes behind leader Mount Olive (305). Barton College (307) and Cape Fear CC (311) round out the top three.
Guerrera's score put him tied for ninth individually as he is one of three Eagles in the top 20. Junior Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) and senior Kyle Hughes (Pulaski, N.Y.) each shot a 6-over par 78 and are tied for 13th.
J.J. Cooney of Sioux Falls is the first round individual leader with a 1-over par 73.
Senior Brendan McCormack (Watertown, Conn.) shot an 11-over par 83 and junior Antonio Lopez-Woodworth (Mexico City, Mexico) shot a 12-over par 84 to round out the Eagles scorers.
