SHELTON, Conn. – The Post University men's ice hockey team fell to Southern New Hampshire 8-2 on Saturday night at the SportsCenter of Connecticut. Sophomore

Jake Raleigh (Raleigh, N.C.) scored for the Eagles in the loss.
Post controlled the early part of the first period despite allowing a goal as it outshot the Penmen 14-5 over the first 10 minutes. Chris Moquin put Southern New Hampshire ahead 2-0 at that point and the visitors added three more goals in first period to take control of the game.
Hackett put back a rebound on a shot by freshman
Evan Lugo (Sandy Hook, Conn.) to put the Eagles on the board at the 12:39 mark of the second. The Penmen answered last in the period to make the score 6-1 after two.
Southern New Hampshire added two short-handed goal in the third. Raleigh tallied his third power-play goal, fifth overall in the closing minutes.
Shots were nearly even with the Penmen holding a slight 45-43 advantage. Hackett had seven attempts on the night. Sophomore
Noah Wild (Wading River, N.Y.) won a game-high 15 face-offs.
Post returns home on Friday, Feb. 9 against Saint Michael's beginning at 8:30 p.m. The Eagles will wear specially-designed jerseys in support of Autism Awareness. The jerseys will be raffled off, along with other items, with proceeds being donated to Autism Speaks. For more information
