WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's ice hockey team will host an Autism Awareness game on Friday, February 9 at the SportsCenter of Connecticut in Shelton as the Eagles play Saint Michael's at 8 p.m.
Post will be wearing limited edition jerseys during the game that will be raffled off. The night will also feature door prizes, giveaways, a silent auction, and 50/50 raffle. Post's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will also be selling t-shirts for $10. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Autism Speaks. Post also encourages everyone in attendance to wear orange.
Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.
