Berlin, Md. – The Post University men's golf team finished in fifth place at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spring Invitational at Rum Pointe Golf Club in a ten team tournament on Sunday and Monday.
The Eagles finished with a 42-over par 618 (312-306). St. Thomas Aquinas won the team title with a 4-under par 572 (284-288)
Sophomore
Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) had the low scored for the Eagles, finishing with a 5-over par 149 (76-73) and tied for 16
th place. Classmate
Matthieu Sicard (Marseille, France) finished tied for 25
th with an 11-over par 155 (76-79).
Junior
Kyle Hughes (Pulaski, N.Y.) shot a 13-over par 157 (79-78) and freshman
Anthony Guerrera (Watertown, Conn.) finished a shot behind (82-76). Sophomore Antonio Lopez-Woodworth (Mexico City, Mexico) shot a 16-over par 160 (81-79).
Brendan Hunter and Michael Miranda of St. Thomas Aquinas were co-medalists on the individual side. Both finished with a 3-under par 141.
Up next for the Eagles is the Mike Bello Invitational at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, N.Y. on April 14.
