Guilderland, N.Y. - An opening round 4-over par 75 from junior Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) has the Post University men's golf team in fourth place after the first round of the Saint Rose Fall Shootout at Pinehaven Country Club.
Erickson's 75 put him tied for tenth. As a team, the Eagles shot a 24-over par 308, just two strokes behind third place LeMoyne. Franklin Pierce leads after the first round with a 7-over par 291.
Sophomore Anthony Guerrera (Watertown, Conn.) joined Erickson in the top 20, as he his tied for 13th after his first round 5-over par 76.
Junior Matthieu Sicard (Marseille, France) is tied for 21st after a 7-over par 78. Kyle Hughes is a stroke behind him and is tied for 27th. An 83 from senior Brendan McCormack (Watertown, Conn.) has him tied for 45th after round one.
Sam Meyers of Franklin Pierce leads all individuals, shooting a 1-under par 70.
