Cicero, N.Y. – Senior Kyle Hughes (Pulaski, N.Y.) shot a 3-over par 75 as the Post University men's golf teams is tied for ninth place at the LeMoyne Fall Invitational at Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club.
The Eagles shot a 20-over par 308 and are tied with West Chester. The top ten teams in the 19 team tournament are just 17 strokes apart as Rollins leads the tournament after a 3-over par 291.
Hughes - who is tied for 19th - isn't the only Eagle in the top 30 as junior
Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) is tied for 27
th and is a shot behind Hughes, shooting a 4-over par 76. Sophomore
Anthony Guerrera (Watertown, Conn.) shot a 6-over par 78 and is tied for 46
th. Senior
Brendan McCormack (Watertown, Conn.) is a shot behind Guerrera with a 79, and freshman
Simen Midbruket (Moss, Norway) shot an 80.
Matt Paradis of Southern New Hampshire with a 5-under 67 is the leader after the first round, three strokes ahead of Hamish Houston of St. Thomas Aquinas and Danny Thomas of LeMoyne.
McCormack was tied for third in birdies with four.
