Middletown, De.– Two Eagles are in the top ten, as the Post Men's Golf is currently in third place after the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship at Black Creek Golf Course.
Senior
Kyle Hughes (Pulaski, N.Y.) shot a 3-over par 74, putting him in sole possession of ninth place, while classmate
Brendan McCormack (Watertown, Conn.) shot a 4-over 75, tying him for tenth place.
As a team, the Eagles shot a 23-over par 307, just two strokes behind second place Concordia. Wilmington is the first round leader, shooting a 3-over par 287.
Junior
Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) shot a 7-over par 78, tying him for 17
th. An 80 from sophomore
Anthony Guerrera (Watertown, Conn.) put him tied for 28
th and junior Antonio Lopez-Woodworth (Mexico City, Mexico) shot an 83, tied for 36
th.
The Eagles had the best scoring on par 3s, shooting 5-over par as a team. McCormack and Guerrera were both tied for second in par three scoring individually at even par. Erickson was tied for fourth in par 5 scoring at 2-under par.
