Suffern, N.Y. – Freshman
Fredrik Rollve (Asker, Norway) shot a 1-under par 71 to take the first round lead of the Charger Challenge at Spook Rock Golf Course and helped his Post University men's golf team slide into the fifth spot in the team event.
As a team, the Eagles are 35-over par (323), but only 11 strokes separate them from leader Concordia (312) after the first round. Goldey-Beacom (315), Nyack (316) and Dominican (318) round out the top four.
Sophomore
Josh Conlan (Sheffield, England) isn't far back of Rollve, as he is tied for fifth place after shooting a 4-over par 76. Freshman
Anthony Guerrera (Watertown, Conn.) is tied for 14
th but just two strokes behind Conlan.
Sophomore Antonio Lopez-Woodsworth (Mexico City, Mexico) finished with a 12-over par 84, junior Brendan McCormick (Watertown, Conn.) shot a 15-over par 87 and sophomore
Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) shot a 20-over par 92 to round out the day for the Eagles.
