BRONX, N.Y. – The Post University cross country teams competed at the York College Invitational on Sunday at Van Corlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. The women's team placed fifth out of 23 teams, led by individual winner freshman
Kendall Fitzgerald (Kamloops, B.C.). The men's team was ninth overall.
Fitzgerald won her second race of the season as she completed the 6K course in a time of 23:54.9 to place first out of 167 runners. Sophomore
Akia Callum (Brooklyn, N.Y.) placed 46
th overall at 29:40.8 and classmate
Arianna Wasley (Waterbury, Conn.) was 49
th with a time of 29:48.9.
On the men's side, senior
John Ducham (Waterbury, Conn.) finished fourth out of 164 runners with a time of 28:48.4 on the 8K course. Classmate
Ryan Acey (Plainville, Conn.) was just behind him in seventh place at 28:58.7.
The Eagles return to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Jack Saint Clair Invitational at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, their final tune-up before the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships at the same location.
