Baldwinsville, N.Y. - The Post University men's golf team finished in 19th place at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional at Timber Banks Golf Course.
The team finished with a 98-over par 962 (326-321-315). St. Thomas Aquinas won the title with a 33-over par 897 (306-290-301), followed by Southern New Hampshire (39-over par) and fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference foe, Concordia who finished at 40-over par.Â
Individually, freshman
Matthieu Sicard (Marsielle, France) was the top finisher for the Eagles, shooting a 13-over par 229 (80-77-72). His final round score vaulted him up 31 spots in the leaderboard. Â Sophomore
Carlos Fernandez-Herzog (Madird, Spain) was 24-over par (76-82-82), freshman
Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) was 32-over par (83-83-82), sophomore
Kyle Hughes (Pulaski, N.Y.) was 36-over par (88-79-85) and freshman Antonio Lopez-Woodsworth (Mexico City, Mexico) finished 44-over par (87-94-79).
Christopher Gentle of St. Thomas Aquinas took home the individual title with a 3-under par 213 (77-64-72), followed by John Clare of Le Moyne who finished two strokes back.
