Fernandez-Herzog Tied For Fifth After First Round Of CACC Championship

Middletown, De. – Sophomore Carlos Fernandez-Herzog (Madrid, Spain) shot a 4-over par 75 and is tied for fifth place after the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship at the par 71 Back Creek Golf Course. The team is in fifth place, after posting a 35-over par 319.

Freshman Michael Erickson (Prospect, Conn.) shot a 6-over par 77, tying him for 10 place and a 10-over par 81 puts sophomore Kyle Hughes (Pulaski, N.Y.) tied for 20th.

Freshman Matthieu Sicard (Marseille, France) shot a 15-over par 86 and junior Tim Tian (Beijing, China) shot a 16-over par 87.

Andrew Geesey of Felician leads the tournament as he posted a 2-over par 73. Wilmington leads the team tournament after shooting an 18-over par 302. Felician is in second, nine strokes back.
