WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's soccer team opens the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament on the road Tuesday against Concordia at 2 p.m. The Eagles (5-8-4, 4-4-4 CACC) earned the No. 8 seed and are looking to advance to the semifinals for the sixth time in the last seven years. Top-seeded Concordia (11-5, 9-3 CACC) won the regular season championship and defeated the Eagles 2-0 in their earlier meeting.

Nyack scored the game's only goal in the 10
th minute as Finn Reese connected on shot from inside the box. The Eagles had a chance to tie the game in the 41
st minute as they were awarded a penalty kick. Junior
David Ortiz Correa (Envigado, Colombia) was unable to convert as the score remained 1-0 into halftime. The Warriors outshot Post 9-6 overall and 5-3 on goal. Senior

Scouting the Clippers
The CACC Regular Season Champions had won six matches in a row, outscoring opponents 12-1 during the streak, until a 2-1 loss at Georgian Court to close the season and are 6-0 at home. Concordia is led by CACC Player of the Year Ovan Oakley who led the league with 14 goals and 36 points. He was one of four Clippers to make the All-Conference team as Javier Alvarez Vispo and Matteo Fabbri joined him on the first team. Goalkeeper Jaime Gonzalez was named to the second team. Concordia has scored the most goals in the CACC this year (36) and is second behind Post with six shutouts.

Post is 9-4 all-time against Concordia, but has dropped three of the last four meetings. The Clippers picked up a 2-0 victory at home earlier this year. Last season the two squared off in the CACC Quarterfinals at LaMoy Field and the second-seeded Eagles defeated Concordia 3-0.

CACColades
Four members of the Post men's soccer team were named All-CACC on Monday. Seniors
Abdallah Bah (St. Paul, Minn.),
Mikail Ellis (San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago),
Jon Hanlon (Centereach, N.Y.), and sophomore
Matteo Moro (Rome, Italy) all earned Second Team honors. Hanlon earned a spot on the team for the second year in row after leading the league with a 1.00 goals-against average. Ellis and Moro were key members of the top defensive unit in the conference, which allowed just nine goals. Bah tied for the team lead with six points.

The winner of this game will advance to the CACC Semifinals on Friday, Nov. 4 in Lakewood, N.J. Kickoff will either be at 11 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. The Championship Game will take place on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
