Women’s Tennis Falls to Goldey-Beacom in CACC Championship

Post defeated by Lighting 5-1 in conference final

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Post University women's tennis team was defeated by top-seeded Goldey-Beacom 5-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship on Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia. Junior Liza Dubrovskaya (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) and sophomore Madison Young (Wellington, New Zealand) were named to the all-tournament team.
 
The Eagles scored their lone point of the day with an 8-6 victory by Young and senior Natasha Siku (Gaborone, Botswana) over Anna Hortelano Pey and Raquel Morais at No.2 doubles. At No. 1, Dubrovskaya and junior Briana Miah (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) fell in a tiebreaker 9-8 (7-4).
 
Post fell in three singles matches to drop the match. Siku was leading Francesca Beg 7-5, 4-1 when the match was clinched.
