MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Post University women's tennis team dropped its regular season finale at Southern New Hampshire 6-3 on Sunday. The Eagles finish the year at 8-7 and will be the third seed in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament which begins on Saturday.
Sophomores
Sarah Namazi (Waterbury, Conn.) and
Jessica Bergen (Bethel, Conn.) grabbed an 8-6 win in their No. 3 doubles match.
In singles, junior
Liza Dubrovskaya (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) won her sixth consecutive match as she won the first set 6-4 before her opponent Abla Chadli retired. Junior
Brianna Miah (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) also earned a victory by way of retirement 6-3, 1-0.
The CACC Tournament begins on Saturday as the Eagles play No. 2 Wilmington at 1 p.m. in Philadelphia. The winner will advance to the championship on Sunday.
