Women’s Tennis Drops Non-Conference Match to Queens

Eagles play home finale on Saturday







MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's tennis team fell to regionally-ranked Queens 8-1 at Edgewood Bath & Tennis in Middlebury, Conn. on Friday afternoon. The Eagles are 7-6 overall with two matches remaining in the regular season.
 
In No. 1 singles, junior Liza Dubrovskaya (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) won her fourth straight match with a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Laura Ortega Jover.
 
Two Post doubles teams were defeated by a close 8-6 margin. Dubrovskaya and junior Brianna Miah (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) at No. 1 and Siku and sophomore Madison Young (Wellington, New Zealand) at No. 2.
 
The Eagles are back in action in their home finale tomorrow afternoon against Roberts Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
