BRONX, N.Y. – The Post University cross country team got off to a great start to its season on Sunday at the Baruch Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, N.Y. The men's team finished in third place, while the women placed fourth.
 
Junior John Ducham (Waterbury, Conn.) placed second overall on the 8K course with a time of 29:39. Sophomore Ryan Acey (Plainville, Conn.) was just behind him in fourth place at 30:49.
 
On the women's side, freshman Akia Callum (Brooklyn, N.Y.) made a splash in her Eagles' debut with a seventh place finish on the 6K course. Callum clocked in at 27:42.
 
The Eagles return to action on Saturday at the Philadelphia Metro Championships at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pa.
