MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's tennis team defeated USciences 9-0 on Saturday to improve to 5-1 on the year The win is the Eagles' fifth-straight and they now hold sole possession of first place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) at 3-0.
Post dropped just two games in doubles to jump ahead 3-0 in the match. The teams of junior
Diana Perez (Miami, Fla.) and sophomore
Brianna Miah (Wesley Chapel, Fla.); and junior
Natasha Siku (Gabrorone, Botswana) and freshman
Jessica Bergen (Bethel, Conn.) each took their matches 8-0.
Miah didn't lose a game all day as she defeated Andria Dang 6-0, 6-0 in fourth singles. Perez took care of Victoria Quang 6-1, 6-3 to clinch the match for Post. Sophomore
Liza Dubrovskaya (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) also made quick work of Abbygail Gamarnik 6-2, 6-0.
The Eagles return to action on Monday against Saint Rose. First serve in Albany, N.Y. is set for 4:30 p.m.
