MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University women's tennis team earned its fourth-straight victory on Thursday with a 7-2 triumph over St. Thomas Aquinas at Edgewood Bath & Tennis. The Eagles now sit at 4-1 on the season.
Post took all three doubles matches to start the afternoon. Sophomore
Liza Dubrovskaya (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) and freshman
Madison Young (Wellington, New Zealand) defeated Bianca Signore and Sara O'Brien 8-2 in the top spot.
Junior
Diana Perez (Miami, Fla.) and sophomore
Brianna Miah (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) earned an 8-1 win over Nyenyeri Kanefu and Shannon Biehle. Junior
Natasha Siku (Gaborone, Botswana) and freshman
Jessica Bergen (Bethel, Conn.) also grabbed a win over Carolyn Kopf and Raven DeLeon 8-3.
In singles, Bergen defeated Kopf 6-2, 6-0 in the sixth spot. The Eagles clinched the match when Young picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win over O'Brien. Perez and Dubrovskaya also earned singles victories.
Post is back at home on Saturday at 1 p.m. against USciences. The Eagles are looking to start 3-0 in conference play.
