CACC Winter All-Academic TeamNEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore
Jessica Ayala (Middletown, N.Y.) of the Post University women's basketball team was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Winter All-Academic Team on Monday. She is one of a record 44 student-athletes to be honored by the conference this winter.
In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a CACC Championship sport in the Winter. They must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher through the winter semester.
Ayala, a Sport Management major, has earned a cumulative grade-point average of 3.54. This season she played in all but one game, averaging 3.4 points and 1.5 rebounds. She tied her career-high with 12 points in the Eagles CACC Quarterfinal game against USciences.
