PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Post University women's tennis team was defeated by second-seed Chestnut Hill 5-3 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Semifinals on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles were making their first appearance in the conference tournament.
Post took one doubles match as junior
Natasha Siku (Gaborone, Botswana) and freshman
Jessica Bergen (Bethel, Conn.) defeated Hayley Craskey and Julia Bellon 8-5 in the third spot.
Sophomore
Liza Dubrovskaya (Rostov-on-Don, Russia) picked up a 6-3, 7-5 win the second singles match. Post trailed 4-2 as junior
Diana Perez (Miami, Fla.) battled from one set down to defeat Laure-Anne Josso 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 in the top spot to extend the match. Junior
Brianna Miah (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) put up a good fight in fourth singles, but fell 7-5, 7-5 as the Griffins took the match.
Chestnut Hill will play Concordia tomorrow in the championship match.
