WATERBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's soccer team hosts two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matches this week as it looks to get back on track. The Eagles welcome Caldwell to LaMoy Field on Tuesday at 3 p.m. and No. 23 Wilmington on Friday at 3:30 p.m.

Holy Family broke the scoreless tie in the 41^st minute with as Justin Hiltwine bent in a goal off a corner kick. The Eagles had chances in the second half as they outshot the Tigers 12-2 in the period.
 
Juniors Raphael Moura (Danbury, Conn.) and Mamadee Kamara (Monrovia, Liberia) led Post with three shots each. The Eagles outshot Holy Family 14-11 on the day.
 
Scouting the Cougars
Caldwell enters the week at 5-3 overall and 2-2 in CACC play. Last time out the Cougars upset No. 23 Wilmington 2-1 at home. Christian Castro and Steve Petrosino lead the team with two goals each. Goalkeeper Michael Hartmann leads the nation with 59 saves is second in the CACC with a .843 save percentage.
 
All-Time Series vs. Caldwell
Post is 9-4-2 against the Cougars in 15 previous meetings and is unbeaten in the last six games. The last time the two teams played at LaMoy Field, the Eagles defeated Caldwell 4-1 in penalty kicks in the opening round of the 2012 CACC Tournament.

Scouting the Wildcats
Wilmington is currently ranked No. 23 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Rankings but has dropped its last two games and comes into the week with a record of 6-3 overall and 3-2 in CACC play. Lance Berry leads the team with four goals, good for sixth in the conference. Bruno Montini is sixth in the NCAA with five assists.
 
All-Time Series vs. Wilmington
The Eagles and Wildcats have been familiar opponents the past two years, playing five times during that span. Last year, Post eliminated Wilmington for the CACC Tournament, but the Wildcats defeated Post in the NCAA First Round.

Climbing The Leaderboards
Post is near the top of Division II in scoring offense (32^nd  – 2.33 goals per game) and points per game (31^st  – 6.5). Raphael Moura is tied for sixth in the CACC with four goals this year. As a team, Post is fourth with 14 goals and 11 assists.
 
Home Sweet Home
Since LaMoy Field reopened midway through the 2011 season, the Eagles have been stellar at home. In 26 matches on the turf, Post has amassed a 21-2-3 record. Since the first game there on Oct. 13, 2011, the Eagles outscored their opponents 65-22 at home.
 
Preseason Prognostications
The Post men's soccer team was tabbed to finish first in the CACC in the Preseason Poll for the third consecutive year. The Eagles received five first-place votes and 153 points as voted on by the league's 13 head coaches.
 
On The Horizon
Post is on the road for two games next week. The Eagles visit Felician on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. and Philadelphia on Oct. 11 at 2:30 p.m.
