Thus far on the season, when the Eagles have won the first set, they have walked away with a victory. This would also hold true against Chestnut Hill. In the early stages of the first set, Post caught fire and went on an 11-2 run to lead the Griffins 13-6. It looked like Chestnut Hill could mount a comeback, closing the deficient to 24-19, but Wilman stopped the bleeding as she recorded an emphatic kill to give the Eagles the set win 25-19.
Â
Both squads battled from the start of the second set, trading points to eventually land the Eagles with a one point lead over the Griffins 14-13. Post pulled away with a five point swing resulting from timely kills by Slyaktina and Daluz. The Eagles capped off the set with a four-point run to go ahead 2-0 in the match.
Â
Post never allowed Chestnut Hill to find their rhythm offensively in the third set as the Griffins only managed to put together two sporadic three-point runs. Slyaktina came up big as she recorded four of her seven kills in the third set, adding a service ace and a block as well. The Eagles would take care of business, tallying three consecutive points to win the third and final set 25-20. Post remains a perfect 4-0 at home in the all-time series against the opponent dating back to 2008.
Â
Post climbs to third place in the CACC standings with a 2-1 conference record, and plays to a .500 record standing at 6-6 overall. Chestnut Hill sits at 3-2 in conference play, and falls to 8-8 on the season thus far.

The Eagles continue conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 30 as the Eagles host the Chargers of Dominican College at the Drubner Center. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
