Eagles Finish Tied For 15th At Irish Creek Invitational

Earnshaw Leads Post With 12th Place Finish

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Post University golf team finished its first tournament on Tuesday at the Irish Creek Invitational in Kannapolis, N.C. The Eagles shot a 319 in the final round and finished in a tie for 15th with Belmont Abbey College.
 
Senior Ross Earnshaw (York, England) carded a team-low 70 on Tuesday and finished tied for 12th overall. Sophomore Patrick Hartnett (Chicago, Ill.) and freshman Yu Tian (Beijing, China) both finished with a respectable 163 overall good enough for 76th place.
 
Newberry College took home the victory shooting 586 as a team.  Thomas Rowland of the University of Charlotte won the individual crown shooting a 70 and 73 for a total 143.
 
The Eagles are back in action on Monday, March 3 at the Richard Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, N.C.
