Golf Sits In 15th After First Round At Irish Creek Invitational

Earnshaw Leads Eagles With 77 On Monday



KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Post University golf team opened its spring schedule on Monday at the Irish Creek Invitational in Kannapolis, N.C. The Eagles shot a 324 in the opening round and sit in a tie for 15th.
 
Senior Ross Earnshaw (York, England) carded a team-low 77 on Monday and is tied for 37th through 18 holes. Sophomore Patrick Hartnett (Chicago, Ill.) is tied for 52nd after an opening round 79. Hartnett shot a 37 on the back nine, which was a team-low. Freshman Yu Tian (Beijing, China) shot an 82 and is currently tied for 73rd.
 
Thomas Rowland of Charlotte and Will Woodard of Limestone are tied for first after carding 70 on Monday. Barton, Limestone and Newberry are at the top of the leaderboard at 291.
 
The Eagles are back in action tomorrow in the final round.
