Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University women's basketball team returns to action in a road game at Caldwell in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) clash on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
The Eagles are coming off of a tightly contested 81-78 loss to Philadelphia - the top team in the CACC – on Feb. 8. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Eagles. During the game, senior Raven Wright-James(Middletown, Conn.) contributed another double-double, scoring 15 boards and grabbing 17 rebounds. It was her third double-double in the last four games. The Eagles went into halftime with a four-point lead, but a last ditch three-point effort at the end to tie the game fell short.
Post now stands at 8-12 overall, and 8-6 in the CACC, good for fourth place in the North Division.
Eagles Perched On Top
Senior Aubrey Latham leads the conference in scoring at 22.1 points per game, fourth in field goal percentage at 51.6 percent and third in three-point percentage at 39.2 percent.
The Eagles, as a team, lead the conference in scoring at 78.9 points per game.
Looking For Payback
The two teams met back on Jan. 8 in the Drubner Center where Cougars came back form 23 points down to defeat the Eagles, 89-80. The loss dropped the Eagles to 6-17 all-time against Caldwell. During the Jan. 8 contest, senior Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) poured in 33 points on 13-for-22 shooting. Sophomore Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) chipped in with 16 points.
