Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University Eagles women's basketball team will return from its small hiatus and take on the New York Institute of Technology in an out of conference game on Sunday, Nov. 30. It will be the team's first home game of the season at the Drubner Center.Â
The Eagles (1-2, 1-0 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference) are coming off of a 74-66 win at Concordia. The Eagles were down by nine points with 9:32 remaining, but went on a 29-12 run to close out the game. Freshman Lexus Childs-Harris (New London, Conn.) finished with a team high 22 points and 11 rebounds for her first career double-double. Junior Deaisia Acklin (Bronx, N.Y.) finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds and senior Jacquelynne Pugh (Grahamsville, N.Y.) finished with 18 points.Childs-Harris HonoredFor her efforts against Concordia, Childs-Harris was named CACC rookie of the week. She currently leads the Eagles in both points per game (14.0) and rebounds per game. (5.7).
About NYIT
 NYIT is out of the East Coast Conference and currently sits at 3-1 overall, and have not played a conference game this season. In their last game, the Bears defeated Goldey-Beacom, 68-66 on Nov. 22. Sophomore Shanice Allen led the Bears with 21 points on the evening. It was the second win for the Bears over a CACC opponent. They also defeated Holy Family, 53-46 on Nov. 19. Allen leads the team in scoring at 11.8 points per game. Junior Dina Ragab (11.5 ppg) and Julie Williams (10.8 ppg) are the other two players averaging double figures in scoring for the Bears
