Preview: Eagles To Wrap Up Regular Season

Win Will Clinch Top Four Spot

Waterbury, Conn. - The Post University Eagles women's soccer team will wrap up its regular season as it takes on Bloomfield in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference road game on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. in its only game this week.

The Eagles are currently are currently 9-4-1 overall and 8-2-1 in the CACC, good enough for third place. A win over Bloomfield will clinch a top four spot in the CACC tournament and give the Eagles homefield advantage throughout the tournament, as the Eagles are hosting the tournament this season.

The Week That Was
Last week, the Eagles won its only game of the week, defeating Concordia, 3-2 in overtime. The Eagles trailed twice in the game, but junior Lexxi Carroll (Plainville, Conn.) scored the game winner in the 98th minute, giving the Eagles the win. Sophomore Valerie Moore (Bloomfield, Conn.) and freshman Sam Rodriguez (Wayne, N.J.). also scored for Post.

Company At The Top
Senior Renel Dennis (Queens, N.Y.) still leads the CACC in goals with 13, but now has some company as Felician's Macki Groves has tied her. Dennis still leads the CACC in points with 30, three more than Groves.
