WILMINGTON, Del. -- The Eagles go on the road an lose 5-0 against Wilmington University and drop to 0-6 on the year and 0-2 in conference play. Amelia Aquino and Quinne Ansley each netted two goals to lead the Wildcats past the Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Wilmington University didn't waste much time before getting aggressive on offense in this one as they had six shots in the first 17 minutes of action and scored three goals while
Aryn Nisbet made one save for the Eagles. The Wildcats were able to get on the board just 4 minutes and 38 seconds into the game as Amelia Aquino found the back of the net with an assist from Maria Leguizamon. Followed by a goal from Quinne Ansley in the 11th minute assisted yet again by Leguizamon. The Wildcats made it a quick 3-0 as Braelyn Jalayer scored on a ball from Claudia Gillum.

Avia Burns took a shot on goal at 12:10 but Bella Mazzone was able to keep it from going in.
Alissa Rainon tried her hand at a shot in the 16th minute but ended up missing the net wide right.
Martha Joseph took two shots for the Eagles coming in the 36th and 38th minute but ultimately both went off target and Wilmington held onto the 3-0 led going into half time.
The Wildcats would go on to open the game up even more in the second half as Ansley scored her second goal of the game in the 53rd minute and Aquino netted her second goal of the day as well in the 84th minute.
The Wildcats held a 20-8 advantage in total shots and 10-2 for shots on goal.
Aryn Nisbet made five saves for the Eagles as they drop this one 5-0 and drop to 0-6-0 on the season.
