WATERBURY, Conn.-- Senior goalkeeper Jaina Preuhs and her defenders held the Eagles offense in check as Post was unable to push across any goals. Bridget Dickson scored the first goal of the game for Holy Family University in the 42nd minute which would go on to be the game winning goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Eagles and Tigers played a very close first 40 minutes of the match as nobody was able to push any goals across. That would change in the 42nd minute of the game as Carly Fox sent a cross to Gyzell Rowan who then found Bridget Dickson in the center of the box who was able to sneak past the defense and put it in the back of the net for the score right before half time.
Holy Family keep the momentum going into the second half as they we're able to find the back of the net in the 49th minute with a goal from Rowan after an assist from Fox and Amelia Brown.
The Eagles were out shot 12-8 in the match but kept pace with shots on goal as each team had four. The Eagles defenders played very stingy defense for the majority of the game as they made a variety of great hustle played to keep the Tigers offense off balance.
Alissa Rainon led the Eagles with three shots on goal followed by
Audrey Grzeszczak who had one which came in the 86th minute as the Eagles were showing fight till the final whistle. Goalkeeper
Aryn Nisbet played the full 90 minutes making two saves and surrendering two goals.

Post returns to the pitch September 19th at 12PM at Wilmington University. Post is 7-14-2 all-time against the Wildcats with the last match being a 1-1 tie on October 11, 2025.
