WATERBURY, Conn. – After having over a week off after last week's cancellation, the Post men's soccer team takes the field for two games looking to clinch a spot in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament. The Eagles visit Bloomfield on Tuesday night and return home on Friday afternoon against Nyack in the season finale.

Last Time Out: Post 2, Georgian Court 1 – Recap | Box Score
Senior Mamadou Balde (Conakry, Guniea) scored off a corner in the 82nd minute to lead the Eagles over Georgian Court 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Post created some chances in the first half as freshman Stephan Tomasevic (London, England) had two headers that were saved by the Lions' keeper Rylan Gentil.

Junior Jacob Butler-Bowden (Adelaide, Australia) found classmate Tiago Martins (Porto, Portugal) on a long ball in the 40th minute. Martins put it home to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead heading into the break.

Early in the second half the neither team could find a rhythm. The Lions had two shots on goal saved by sophomore Serigne Baba Gaye (Dakar, Senegal). Michael Clarke headed in a corner in the 65th minute to tie the game 1-1.

Scouting the Bears
Bloomfield enters the week at 6-8 overall but 6-4 in the CACC and tied for sixth in the conference. The Bears have won their last three games, outscoring opponents 8-1 during the stretch. Junior forward Marin Jonjic leads the team with four goals and nine points and scored twice last time out in a 5-0 victory over Chestnut Hill.

The Eagles have had two players selected a CACC Player of the Week this season. In the opening week of the year Raphael Moura earned the honor after scoring twice in Post's season-opening 4-3 victory over Franklin Pierce. With the score tied 3-3, Moura booted home the winner in the 88th minute off a pass from Tiago Martins. Martins earned Player of the Week honors on Oct. 6 after scoring twice in Eagles victories over Caldwell and Wilmington.

Climbing The Leaderboards
Post is near the top of Division II in scoring offense (27th   – 2.23 goals per game) and total goals (29th  – 29). Raphael Moura is tied for fifth in the CACC with seven goals this year. As a team, Post  second with 15.4 shots per game, fourth with 29 goals and sixth with 19 assists.

Home Sweet Home
Since LaMoy Field reopened midway through the 2011 season, the Eagles have been stellar at home. In 30 matches on the turf, Post has amassed a 25-2-3 record and won four straight. Since the first game there on Oct. 13, 2011, the Eagles outscored their opponents 78-25 at LaMoy.

Playoff Picture
Post enters the week with 12 points and ninth place in the CACC. With a victory in each of their last two games, the Eagles would clinch a spot in the conference tournament. With one victory, Post would need losses by both Goldey-Beacom and Georgian Court to secure a bid.
