The Tigers would then go on a 15-7 run to end the half, taking a 44-37 lead, but they gave the top team in the conference more than they had bargained for.

During the beginning of the second half, Latham continued her scorching start, scoring the first seven points of the half for the Eagles, as they closed the deficit to 48-44 with 16:54 left in the half.Â
After a bucket by Holy Family's Carolyne Heston to put the Tigers up, 50-44, the Eagles would go on a 9-2 run to take a 53-52, thanks to eight points from sophomore Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) as she hit two three pointers during the stretch. The teams would swap leads of no more than six points, points for the next ten minutes.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, Heston would again score a big bucket at 4:55 to start an 11-4 run to close out the game for the final tally and the Tigers stayed undefeated in the conference at 10-0 and 12-5 overall. It was the ninth straight win for the Tigers.Â
