MANCHESTER, Conn. – The Post University men's and women's cross country teams opened their seasons on Saturday morning at the Trinity College Invitational at Wickham Park in Manchester, Conn. Freshman
John Ducham (Waterbury, Conn.) and senior
Veronica Blekis (Plymouth, Conn.) were the top finishers for the men and women, respectively.
The Eagles' men's team finished in seventh place overall.Ducham ran the 5K course in 17:53 and finished in 17
th place in the field of 85. Freshman
Richard Katrenya Jr. (Oxford, Conn.) came in 58
th with a time of 19:35. Junior
Jesse Perez (Waterbury, Conn.) completed the race in 19:45.

The Eagle women ran as individuals on the 4K course, led by Blekis' time of 19:43, good for 52
nd. Sophomore
Jessica Lavelle (Thurmont, Md.) finished in 23:20.

The teams will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 13 in the Mitchell Invitational held at Stenger Farm Park in Waterford, Conn. The race begins at 4 p.m.
