ALBANY, N.Y. – The Post University women's volleyball team fell to Saint Rose on Thursday night in a 3-0 sweep at Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. The set scores were 11-25, 15-25, 19-25. Freshman
Morgan Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) led Post with five digs, three kills, two assists and a service ace.

Kerrin Kallmann (Lake Grove, N.Y.) added four kills, three digs and a service ace as well for the Eagles. Fellow freshman
Nicole Brown (Queens, N.Y.) also had four kills, one block solo and a service ace.
The Eagles struggled to keep up with the Golden Knights throughout the match and fell behind early. Saint Rose set the tone early and jumped out to an enormous 10-0 lead in the opening set. Post managed to string together three straight points, capped off by Brown's lone service ace, to make it 10-3. That was the closest Post would come, however, as Saint Rose breezed through the rest of the set to take it 25-11.
Post played much better at the start of the second set and trailed by just one point with the score at 5-4. Just as the Knights began to take control, stretching the lead to 8-4, the Eagles fought back. Post went on an impressive 6-2 run behind two kills by Kallmann to tie the score at 10 apiece. Saint Rose would take matters into its own hands the rest of the way, finishing the set on a 15-5 run.
In the final set, Post hopped out to early leads of 4-3 and 5-4 before Saint Rose scored four points in a row and notched an 8-5 lead. The Eagles kept battling, and a service ace by Kallmann brought Post to within two at 11-9. After the Knights took a commanding 18-12 lead, the Eagles used a 3-1 run to make it 19-15. Saint Rose proved to be just too tough in the end, taking the 3-0 victory.

Julia Slyaktina (Moscow, Russia) contributed with 13 assists and three digs for Post. Senior
Stephanie Zarakas (Patterson, N.Y.) added two kills and two block assists.
Saint Rose finished with 43 kills while Post had only 17. Christina Strezenec led a balanced attack with three service aces for the Golden Knights.
Post (1-8) visits Chestnut Hill on Saturday, Sept. 28 at noon for its next match and will look to grab its second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win of the season.
