Women’s Tennis Falls To Caldwell

Rush Wins Two Games In Her Singles And Doubles Matches

CALDWELL, N.J. – Senior captain Leah Grabowski (Terryville, Conn.) took a game in each set of her match with Koumudi Thirunagru, but the Post University women's tennis team dropped its match with Caldwell 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The set scores for Grabowski's match were 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Jamie Wilkin (Wallkill, N.Y.) was defeated by Gwynne Alden 6-0, 6-2 in second singles. Sophomore Colleen Rush (Waterbury, Conn.) took two games in her match with Nicole Caneo before falling 6-2, 6-0.
 
In doubles action, the teams of freshman Hannah Glowacki (Tiverton, R.I.) and Wilkin; and Grabowski and junior Lauren Gelati (Thomaston, Conn.) each were defeated 8-1. Sophomore Julia Brazdzionis (Waterbury, Conn.) and Rush fell 8-2 in second doubles.
 
This marks the first time this season the Eagles picked up a game in each doubles match.
 
Post is back in action on Thursday, Sept. 26 at Stonehill. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.
