PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Post University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Philadelphia Metro Championships on Saturday at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia, Pa. Freshman John Ducham (Waterbury, Conn.) and senior Veronia Blekis (Plymouth, Conn.) were the top finishers for Post.
 
Ducham finished the 8K course in 30:22, good for 19^th place out of 83 runners. Freshman William Robinson placed 29^th at a time of 31:50. Junior Jesse Perez clocked in at 32:25, good for 35^th place. The Eagles finished sixth overall out of 12 teams.
 
Blekis was the lone women's runner for Post. She clocked in at 22:51 and finished 26^th out of 81 runners.
 
The Eagles are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 2 as they host the Post Invitational at Hop Brook State Park in Middlebury, Conn. The race begins at 4 p.m.
