Eagles Finish Tied For 15th At NCAA Atlantic/East Regional

Rees And Earnshaw Tied For Second In Par-Three Scoring At +2

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Post University golf team ended its season on Wednesday with a 15th place finish at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional at the Jones Course at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, W.Va. The Eagles shot at 307, their best round of the tournament, and finished at a total of 947 (322-317-307).
 
Senior Thomas Rees (Cardiff, Wales) led the Eagles with a 72 in the final round and finished tied for 27th overall at 229 (75-82-72). Junior Ross Earnshaw (York, England) finished tied for 59th with a score of 236 (79-76-80).
 
Sophomores Anthony McNamara (Beacon Falls, Conn.) and Nick Daven (Woodbury, Conn.) both shot 241 over 54-holes and tied for 79th. Daven carded his lowest round at Post with a 76 on Wednesday. Freshman Patrick Hartnett (Chicago, Ill.) shot his best round of 83 on the final day.
 
Indiana (Pa.) finished first at 891 (308-295-288). Wilmington (896) and California (Pa.) (902) also advanced to the NCAA National Championship. Zack Kempa of Indiana (Pa.) carded a 214 (75-70-69) to finish first individually. Millersville's Robert Coyne (215) and Sebastian Bendsen (222) of Davis and Elkins also advanced.
 
Rees and Earnshaw shot two over-par on the par threes which was the second-lowest score in the field. Rees tied for third with eight birdies in the tournament.
