Eagles Golf Sits In Fifth After Round One Of CACC Championship

Rees In 10th After A 78 on Monday

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – The Post University golf team carded an opening-round 326 on Monday in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, Pa. CACC Player of the Year, senior Thomas Rees (Cardiff, Wales), is in 10th after shooting a 78 on Tuesday.
 
Sophomore Anthony McNamara (Beacon Falls, Conn.) is tied with six others in 11th at 79. Freshman Patrick Hartnett (Chicago, Ill.) shot an 84 and is tied for 28th. Junior Ross Earnshaw (York, England) is one stroke behind him at 85 and tied for 32nd. Sophomore Jay Gerrick (London, England) sits in a tied for 36th at 87.
 
Two-time defending champions, Wilmington, holds the top spot after round one with a 299 on Monday. Eutimio Fernandez Meade is first individually after carding a one-over 73.
 
The final round will be played tomorrow.
