Golf Finishes Fifth, Rees Also Fifth At CACC Championship

All-CACC Honorees Rees And Earn Both End In Top-20

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – The Post University golf team finished fifth at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship at Whitemarsh Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill, Pa. on Wednesday with a two-day score of 657 (326-331). Senior Thomas Rees (Cardiff, Wales) carded a 76 in round two and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
 
Rees finished fifth overall with a 36-hole score of 154 (78-76). Junior Ross Earnshaw (York, England) had a much better day on Wednesday and carded a 77. He landed in 19th place at 162 (85-77). Sophomore Anthony McNamara tied for 29th at 170 (79-91).
 
Freshman Patrick Hartnett (Chicago, Ill.) carded a 171 (91-80) to finish in a tie for 31st. Sophomore Jay Gerrick (London, England) tied for 45th at 178 (87-91).
 
Wilmington won its third-consecutive championship at 611 (299-312), 18 strokes ahead of second-place Concordia who shot 629 (313-316). Paul Tighe of Wilmington was the top individual at 150 (74-76).
 
Post sits in fourth in the most recent NCAA Division II East Region Rankings, with the top 10 advancing to the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional from May 6-8.
