WILSON, N.C. – Junior
Ross Earnshaw (York, England) shot a team-low 71 on Tuesday in the final round of the Barton Intercollegiate at Wilson Country Club. Post University finished in 10
th place out of 14 teams with a 618 (311-307) in the 36-hole tournament.
Earnshaw finished in fourth place at 145 (74-71) in the field of 81 golfers. The junior tied for a tournament-low three-under in par-five scoring. Sophomore
Anthony McNamara (Beacon Falls, Conn.) shot a 150 (74-76) over two days to finish in a tie for 22
nd.
Senior
Thomas Rees (Cardiff, Wales) shot a 77 on Tuesday and a 151 (74-77) overall to finish in a tie for 26
th. Sophomore
Jay Gerrick (London, England) carded a 173 (90-83) and tied for 74
th.
Trevor Banks for Intermont shot a five-under 67 in the final round and a 137 (70-67) for the tournament to finish first. King College placed first at 586 (289-297).
The Eagles will be back in action on Thursday, March 28 for the first round of the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate at the Carolina Sands Golf Course at White Lake in Elizabethtown, N.C.
