Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) was 9-for-12 from the field and 4-of-5 from behind the arc for 22 points to lead the Eagles.
Monique Chance scored eight points and grabbed 15 rebounds. Junior
Fernanda Mansilla (Ancud, Chile) had six points, eight assists, and eight rebounds.
The Eagles held a 60-58 lead with 2:51 remaining after Chance split a pair of free throws. Lindsey Lopez hit a three-pointer on Dominican's next possession to take a 61-60 lead. After back-to-back Post turnovers, the Chargers made two of four from the line to pull ahead 65-61 with 14 seconds remaining.
Mansilla missed a long three-pointer with three seconds remaining and Dominican grabbed the board to seal the victory. Bianca Harris led the Chargers with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Despite a new single-season record in assists by
Fernanda Mansilla, the Eagles suffered a 75-63 setback to #8 Holy Family on Saturday afternoon. Mansilla recorded five assists to bring her season total to 123. Four players notched double figures in scoring for the Eagles. Freshman
Hailey Griffin (Plainfield, Conn.) netted a career-high 15 points to lead Post.
Monique Chance turned in her seventh double-double of the season with 11 points and a game-high 16 rebounds.
After Holy Family (19-2, 13-1 CACC) opened a 24-8 lead over the first 9:03 of the contest, the Eagles scored six straight points on a pair of baskets by Chance and a jumper by freshman
Jasana Levy (Meriden, Conn.). The 6-0 run pulled Post to within 10, 24-14, with 8:28 remaining in the opening half. The Eagles got the deficit to as little as eight points on two occasions in the final five minutes of the stanza.
Holy Family opened the second half on a 10-0 run to push the lead to 21, 47-26, with 15:03 to go. After five straight points by Griffin in a span of 12 seconds, Post got as close as 12, 66-54, with 4:31 to play in the contest. She hit a triple in transition to cap the span. However, the Eagles would draw no closer.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Eagles are 5-16 overall against Dominican since 2002. Post had won the last three against the Chargers before a 65-61 loss on Jan. 23. The Eagles defeated Dominican 71-70 in overtime last season in Orangeburg.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS
Dominican enters Wednesday atop the CACC North Division with a record of 14-7 overall and 11-3 in conference play. The Chargers have won six of their last seven games and have not lost at home since Dec. 31. They allow just 58.2 points per game, which is good for fourth in the CACC. Dominican is also one of the top shooting teams in the conference and is in the top-four in field goal percentage (38.1-4
th), three-point percentage (30.7-4
th), and free-throw percentage (71.7-1
st). The Chargers are led by junior forward KC Jentzen who leads the team with 14.0 points per game to go along with 8.0 rebounds.
LATHAM SCORES 1,000 IN HER CAREER
Aubrey Latham scored 21 points against Concordia on Jan. 15 to join the Eagles' 1,000-Point Club. She hit the milestone with a layup in the first half against the Clippers. Latham is the fifth player in Post University history to score 1,000 points and is fourth on the all-time scoring list.

RECORD BREAKING PERFORMANCE
Junior
Fernanda Mansilla has been putting her teammates in position to score all season. She leads the CACC and is ninth in the nation with 5.6 assists per contest. She broke Post's single-season assists record on Feb. 2 against Holy Family with five assists to put her total at 123 on the year. The old record was 119 set by Melissa Czeremcha during the 2003-04 campaign. Against Chestnut Hill on Dec. 8, Mansilla dished out 11 assists, the highest total by an Eagle since the 2004-05 season.
GRIFFIN HONORED AS TOP ROOKIE
Freshman
Hailey Griffin was chosen as CACC Rookie of the Week on Jan. 14. Griffin averaged 12.5 points in two games for the week of Jan. 6- Jan. 12., including a career-high 14 points in an 80-61 victory over Nyack. She was 9-for-16 from the floor and 6-for-8 from distance for the week. She is the first Eagle to be honored by the conference this season.

The Eagles have been knocking down shots from behind the arc all season. In nine of its victories this season, Post has taken over 20 shots from distance and made at least seven. The Eagles are the top three-point shooting team in the conference at 7.0 made per game. Against Bloomfield on Jan. 3, they made a season-high 15 from distance on 50.0% shooting.

With at team-leading 230 rebounds this season,
Monique Chance has moved into second place in Post history for career rebounds. Chance sits at 786 boards for her career. Tadj Williams, who played from 2003-06, is first with 891 career rebounds.
SCORING 20-PLUS
Aubrey Latham scored 20 points in four consecutive games from Jan. 12-Jan. 23. Over the stretch she averaged 22.7 points per game with a high of 25 coming against Mercy on Jan. 21. She had never scored 20-plus points in more than two straight games in her career before the four-game streak. Latham has scored 20 or more points in nine games this season.
RACKING UP THE DOUBLE DOUBLES
Monique Chance has been filling the box score all season. She has seven double-doubles which is good for 46
th in the nation. Chance recorded four consecutive double-doubles from Dec. 19-Jan. 5. Last season, Chance tallied seven double-doubles and has 18 total in her career.
LONGEST IN PROGRAM HISTORY
The Eagles posted their longest conference winning streak in program history as they won nine straight CACC games from Feb. 11-Dec. 19, 2012. Post closed out the 2011-12 season with four consecutive conference wins. The Eagles began 2012-13 with their best-ever CACC start with five straight victories. Post defeated Chestnut Hill, Wilmington, and Nyack twice during the streak. Felician ended the stretch with a 68-66 win over Post on Dec. 19.
PRESEASON PROGNOSTICATIONS
Post was selected to finish fifth in the North Division of the CACC in the preseason poll announced on Nov. 12. The Eagles received 35 total points in the poll. Caldwell garnered 89 points and 11 first place votes and was selected as the North Division favorite. Defending conference champion, Holy Family, earned 95 points and 11 first place votes and was tabbed as the South Division favorite.

Aubrey Latham captains for the 2012-13 season. Brooks is one of the Eagles' top shooters. She led the team and was second in the conference with a 38.9 shooting percentage from behind the arc. Chance was 13th in NCAA Division II with 11.3 rebounds per game and named CACC Honorable Mention in 2011-12. Latham led the Eagles in scoring in 2011-12, averaging 15.5 points per game. She comes into the season just 238 points away from 1,000 for her career.
