The Post University women's basketball team begins its quest for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) crown on Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m. The Eagles, which are seeded third in the North Division, travel to Goldey-Beacom, the second seed in the South Division. Post is making just its third CACC Tournament appearance in program history and its first since 2006-07.

The Eagles lost their regular-season finale on Feb. 21 as they fell to USciences at home in CACC action. Four Eagles finished with double-figure scoring efforts in defeat, led by sophomore
Jacquelynne Pugh (Grahamsville, N.Y.) with 16 points. Junior
Aubrey Latham (Mystic, Conn.) scored 13 points to go along with four rebounds and three steals.
After a three-pointer by Kaitlyn Schmid put USciences ahead 21-14 with 9:29 remaining in the first half, the Eagles responded with a 7-0 run to tie the game at 21-21. Webber,
Monique Chance, and Latham each had a basket during the comeback. The Devils stormed ahead with a 15-0 run from there to grab control of the game at 36-21 with 2:18 left in the period. USciences hit three from distance to pull away. Pugh scored five points in the closing minutes of the half as Post went into the intermission down 38-26.
The Eagles could never cut the deficit to single-digits in the second half. After the Devils pulled ahead 54-34, Latham and Webber hit back-to-back jumpers to trim the USciences lead to 54-39 with 13:19 remaining. The Devils led by as many as 24 as they won their fourth-straight game.

Monique Chance (Brooklyn, N.Y.) grabbed 15 rebounds for the third consecutive game and fourth time this season. Junior
Raven Wright-James (Middletown, Conn.) led the Eagles with 12 points to go along with six boards. Junior
Aubrey Latham saw her streak of four straight 20-plus point efforts end as she finished with 11 points.
Post made three of its first four shots to take an early 6-0 lead at the 17:20 mark. After starting 0-for-7 from the field, Goldey-Beacom made three of its next four to pull ahead 10-8 with 12:39 remaining in the first half.
Two three-pointers over a span of four minutes by Wright-James gave the Eagles a 23-20 advantage at the 6:14 mark of the first. Post would not score for the remainder of the half as the Lightning closed out the period on a 12-0 run to take a 32-23 lead at the intermission.
Goldey-Beacom staged a 16-4 run in the second half to pull away at 50-33 at the 9:55 mark. A three-pointer by Latham ended the stretch and pull the Eagles within 14, but that would be as close as they would get. The Lightning's Devonne Richardson recorded a triple-double with 14 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds. Post's 45 points were a season-low.
SERIES HISTORY
Post is 6-10 against Goldey-Beacom since 2002, but has lost its last six against the Lightning. The Eagles are 3-5 at the Jones Center and have not won on the road since 2007. Goldey-Beacom defeated Post 68-45 on Jan. 26.

SCOUTING THE LIGHTNING
Goldey-Beacom finished the regular season with a record of 19-9 overall and 16-3 in conference play to earn the second-seed in the CACC South Division. The Lightning ran off nine straight victories before falling in their season finale to No.6 Holy Family, 69-58. Goldey-Beacom is 7-3 against tournament qualifiers this season.
Senior Devonne Richardson leads the Lightning. The guard nearly averages a double-double with 11.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game, good for fourth in the conference. She is second in the CACC at 4.7 assists per game. Richardson is the only player in the conference to record a triple-double this season, which she did against Post on Jan. 26 with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists. Goldey-Beacom is fourth in the nation, holding its opponents to a 32.1 shooting percentage. The Lightning lead the conference with only 16.1 turnovers per game.
LATHAM SCORES 1,000 IN HER CAREER
Aubrey Latham scored 21 points against Concordia on Jan. 15 to join the Eagles' 1,000-Point Club. She hit the milestone with a layup in the first half against the Clippers. Latham is the fifth player in Post University history to score 1,000 points and is third on the all-time scoring list.

RECORD BREAKING PERFORMANCE
Junior
Fernanda Mansilla has been putting her teammates in position to score all season. She leads the CACC and is tenth in the nation with 5.5 assists per contest. She broke Post's single-season assists record on Feb. 2 against Holy Family with five assists and now sits at 138 on the year. The old record was 119 set by Melissa Czeremcha during the 2003-04 campaign. Against Chestnut Hill on Dec. 8, Mansilla dished out 11 assists, the highest total by an Eagle since the 2004-05 season.
GRIFFIN HONORED AS TOP ROOKIE
Freshman
Hailey Griffin was chosen as CACC Rookie of the Week on Jan. 14. Griffin averaged 12.5 points in two games for the week of Jan. 6- Jan. 12., including a career-high 14 points in an 80-61 victory over Nyack. She was 9-for-16 from the floor and 6-for-8 from distance for the week. She is the first Eagle to be honored by the conference this season.

EAGLES AMONG CACC LEADERS
Post averages 6.9 three-pointers made per game to lead the CACC and is third with a 31.5 shooting percentage from deep. The Eagles are the second-highest scoring team in the conference at 65.5 points per game.
Fernanda Mansilla leads the conference with 5.5 assists per game.
Aubrey Latham is fourth with 17.3 points per game and third with a 38.9 shooting percentage from deep.
Monique Chance is second with 10.7 boards per game.
LIVE BY THE THREE
The Eagles have been knocking down shots from behind the arc all season. In nine of its victories this season, Post has taken over 20 shots from distance and made at least seven. The Eagles are the top three-point shooting team in the conference at 6.9 made per game. Against Bloomfield on Jan. 3, they made a season-high 15 from distance on 50.0% shooting.
CLIMBING UP THE CAREER LIST
With at team-leading 261 rebounds this season,
Monique Chance has moved into second place in Post history for career rebounds. Chance sits at 816 boards for her career. Tadj Williams, who played from 2003-06, is first with 891 career rebounds.
SCORING 20-PLUS
Aubrey Latham scored 20 points in four consecutive games from Jan. 12-Jan. 23. Over the stretch she averaged 22.7 points per game with a high of 25 coming against Mercy on Jan. 21. She had never scored 20-plus points in more than two straight games in her career before the four-game streak. Latham has scored 20 or more points in 10 games this season.
RACKING UP THE DOUBLE DOUBLES
Monique Chance has been filling the box score all season. She has eight double-doubles which is good for 51
st in the nation. Chance recorded four consecutive double-doubles from Dec. 19-Jan. 5. Last season, Chance tallied six double-doubles and has 19 total in her career.
LONGEST IN PROGRAM HISTORY
The Eagles posted their longest conference winning streak in program history as they won nine straight CACC games from Feb. 11-Dec. 19, 2012. Post closed out the 2011-12 season with four consecutive conference wins. The Eagles began 2012-13 with their best-ever CACC start with five straight victories. Post defeated Chestnut Hill, Wilmington, and Nyack twice during the streak. Felician ended the stretch with a 68-66 win over Post on Dec. 19.
PRESEASON PROGNOSTICATIONS
Post was selected to finish fifth in the North Division of the CACC in the preseason poll announced on Nov. 12. The Eagles received 35 total points in the poll. Caldwell garnered 89 points and 11 first place votes and was selected as the North Division favorite. Defending conference champion, Holy Family, earned 95 points and 11 first place votes and was tabbed as the South Division favorite.

Aubrey Latham captains for the 2012-13 season. Brooks is one of the Eagles' top shooters. She led the team and was second in the conference with a 38.9 shooting percentage from behind the arc. Chance was 13th in NCAA Division II with 11.3 rebounds per game and named CACC Honorable Mention in 2011-12. Latham led the Eagles in scoring in 2011-12, averaging 15.5 points per game. She comes into the season just 238 points away from 1,000 for her career.
