Preview: Eagles Look To Surpass Last Year's Win Total

Team Starts Three Game Homestand

Waterbury, Conn. - The Post Eagles women's soccer team gets back into Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action on Wednesday, October 9th as it takes on Caldwell College at 3 p.m. at LaMoy Field in Waterbury, Conn. That game marks the first of three straight CACC home games for the Eagles.

On October 13th, the Eagles will host Philadelphia University at noon. The Eagles have been stellar at home, as they are 3-1 at LaMoy Field.

Extra, Extra, Read All About It

The Eagles (4-5, 2-3 CACC) went 1-1 in their games last week, with both games going into overtime. On October 1st, a PK from Tessa Dunster (Stamford, Conn.) gave the Eagles a 4-3 overtime win against Holy Family at LaMoy Field. The goal was Dunster's second of the game, and sixth of the season.

On October 5th, the team dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 loss at Wilmington after jumping out to an early 1-0 lead and holding the Wildcats scoreless for most of the game. Alison Mrowinski (Syracuse, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for the Eagles, her first of the year.

The Eagles have played well of late, having won two of three games. The next game they win will surpass their previous win total of last season. Two wins this week will put them over .500 in the CACC and overall.

One Of The League's Best Comes To Town

Coming into the week, Caldwell (5-3-2, 4-0-2 CACC) is sitting pretty at second place in the CACC. Julie Crankshaw leads the team with three goals. However, the scoring for the Cougars is spread out, as they have had 13 different players score for them on the season. In conference, Caldwell has outscored opponents, 19-3. Overall, the Eagles are 3-7-1 against the Cougars, but have won two of the last three at home. A look at their history:
